BP oil from spill01.jpg
Clean up worker puts his hand in oil in the wetlands on the shores of Bay Jimmy in Plaquemines Parish. During a low-tide with Northern winds, the damage to the marshlands exposed the damage to the marsh months after the BP oil spill, the largest in American history. The death of the marsh grass in Louisinana's wetlands will lead to excelerated coastal erosion, an environmental issue the state was facing before the BP oil disaster.
