Sept. 24, New Orleans, Protesters take part in a ‘Take Em Down NOLA march. The group threatened to topple the statue, in response to the city not removing four statues of Confederate figures in New Orleans. Former Ku Klux Klan leader and current U.S. Senate candidate David Duke came to the park to show his support for the Confederate statues, but left before the protesters arrived.
