April 26th, 2013, Kevin Oefelein sits on his front stoop after another day of renvoation in New Dorp Beach on Staten Island 6 months after superstorm Sandy. He lives down the block from a community Sandy Releif hub run by Donna Graziano. He said all the hub has been for the community is a good thing . He was one over over 100 people that went to a meeting on the 25th to sign a petition telling the city to let the hub remain where it is on parks department land since the community is still in need. He has made use of the hub for months, grabbing a hot meal for himself and workers renovating his home, and even had one of them patched up after getting injured on the job.
