NOLA Hard Rock Hotel Protest03.jpg
People at a rally outside of New Orleans city hall after about two hundred marched from the Hard Rock Hotel building site where two workers bodies remain in the collapsed building to City Hall to protest that the city is not being transparent about the lack of progress in the recovery process following the disaster. The building recently shifted exposing the torso of one of the workers and a tarp set up to keep it out of view blew away sparking outrage that the collapsed building and workers bodies remain. The Mayor admonished anyone taking pictures of the exposed body and claimed that isn’t what we do in New Orleans. She also claimed a new tarp couldn't be put up, but sure enough one was put up the next day..
