An steel angle placed at the World Trade Center site during the recovory process is now part of the 9/11 Memorial Museums collection. Artifacts chosen by curators out of the wreckage from the World Trade Center stored temporarily within an 80,000 square foot hanger at JFK airport. Some of the artifacts will be in the National September 11 Memorial Museum set to open in 2012.
