Fish Kill from Red Tide01.jpg
12, 29, 2015, cleanup workers pick up dead black drum fish and other animals washed up along the beached in Hancock County during an on going fish kill event casued by a red tide. A red tide ( toxic algae growth) was blaimed for a fish kill event that also killed many ducks and some mammals along beaches in Mississippi along the Gulf of Mexico that started at the deginning of December and continued through the end of the month. Warming tempatures caused by climate change, make 'red tide' conditions a growing problem on the Gulf Coast.
