Ani Difranco who moved to New Orleans five years ago, opening her set with "Which side are you on" after introducing herself to a crowd in New Orleans as the token folk singer at a benefit concert organized to help fishermen in need. The Gulf Aid concert was put together at lighting speed by WWOZ-FM, Rehage Entertainment, SDT Waste Disposal, Mardi Gras World and the Louisiana Seafood Promotion Board in New Orleans to raise money for fishermen effected by the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico, with headliners, Lenny Kravits, John Legend , Mos Def , Allen Toussant and Ani Difranco along with classic local bands.
