New York City, NY, Sept 30th 2011, Thousands of protesters hold a rally in One Police Plaza after marching from Zuccotti Park (also know as Liberty Square) protesting police brutality. The protesters set up an encampment in Zuccotti Park inspired by the Egyptian Tahrir Square uprising on Sept. 17th. After 80 people were arrested on Sept. 24th when the police clashed with the protesters near Union Square Park, video footage of the police manhandling the protesters spread via social networks fueling the movement's growth.
