The organizers warned the city it had three days left to take down white supremacist monuments now being referred to as monuments to white mediocrity, or else the monuments will come down by unauthorized means- "When elected officials don’t serve the people, the people have to serve the people!” A few hundred people came out to protest against police violence and racial inequality and marched through the French Quarter stopping at monuments on the groups list that it demands be taken down. The organizers explained the historical significance of each statue.Jackson Square in New Orleans. Protesers have called for the removal of the Andrew Jackson Monuement.
