Fracking Arkansas03.jpg
Dirk DeTurck shows how the area in Greenbrier, Arkansas in Faulkner County which sits on top of the Fayetteville Shale was the center to earthquake swarms that started shortly after the fracking industry started. DeTurck sold his house at over a $100k loss to get away from living next to a frack site. He and his family experienced negative impacts to their health. DeTurck investigated the connecting between the injection wells near his home and the earthquakes that rocked the area. DeTurck remains active in trying to educate others to the dangers of the fracking industry.
