November 6th, NY, New York, Dorothy Raffo stands in front of the ruins of her former home in Breezy Point , Queens that burnt to the ground when superstorm Sandy hit, holding a first edition of Hiroshima Diary, charred at the edges but still intact with her maiden name inscribed on it. Hurricane Sandy hit the try-state area as a tropical storm causing billions of dollars of damage and cutting electricity to hundreds of thousands. Extreme weather is being blamed on climate change by many scientist.
