The Melpomene Pumping Station Number 1 and the rest of New Orleans pump stations could be tested by Tropical Storm Nate now threatening the Gulf Coast and might put the city's pump stations to a test. On Hurricane Katrina's 12 year anniversary the mood in the city was tense becuase the tail end of Harvey threatened the city since its pump stations were not fully operational. New Orleans pump stations are still not working to their full capacity as Nate approaches.
