24-year-old, Javier Dunn left jail with a black eye. He said Baton Rouge police stomped on him and punched him breaking bones in his face when they arrested him while he took part in a protest against police brutality following th killing of Alton Sterling by the police. After the funeral said he came to the funeral to show his support for the family and his city and to show that he is not running.
‘I’m still out here. I’m out here for a cause. If I’m that person that has to make a difference, I’m going to take a stance” He said. About the protests he said, “We are there peacefully protesting and you get beat, that don’t make sense. Everything we are out there doing they are not really paying attention, they just look at us as a crowd of people.”
100 people of Approximately 185 people that were arrested white that protested the killing of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge will not be prosecuted according the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore III.
