Fish Kill from Red Tide31.jpg
12/19/2015, Dead duck, male from one species of diving ducks, the lesser scaup and man o' war on the beach in Long Beach, Mississippi durring a month long fish kill event. A red tide ( toxic algae growth) was blaimed for a fish kill event that also killed many ducks and some mammals along beaches in Mississippi along the Gulf of Mexico that started at the deginning of December and continued through the end of the month. Warming tempatures caused by climate change, make 'red tide' conditions a growing problem on the Gulf Coast.
