On December 27, 2021, the Meraux Pipeline, owned by Collins Pipeline Co., ruptured and spilled about 315,000 gallons of diesel fuel into wetlands and ponds a few miles southeast of New Orleans.PBF Energy is the parent company of Collin Pipeline and owns and operated PBF’s Chalmette refinery five miles from the spill site.
