Oil clean up crew in Plaquemines Parish on the banks of the Mississippi River. These workers are from Boston. They are using pompoms to suck up the oil. After the oil is skimmed off the surface and contained by the pompoms, all the rocks will be steam cleaned and then the soil bug up and cleaned as well. the clean up will take months.The oil Spill occured in New Orleans on July 23rd . Almost 1/2-million gallons of oil spilled ( number six crude oil) into the Mississippi River when a tanker and a barge collided at 1:30 AM.
