Lake Boeuf Wildlife04.jpg
Baby Blue Herons in a nest on a rockery in Lake Boeuf in Lafourche Parish, part of Southern Louisiana's wetlands. Southeastern Louisiana's wetlands were threatened by the BP oil spill but containment of the Macondo well saved most of the bayous lakes and waterways that make their way to the Gulf of Mexico. Louisiana's wetlands are threaten by coastal erosion, climate change and the oil and gas industry.
