June 1, 2015, Denton, Texas, Tara Linn Hunter, vice-president of the Denton Drilling Awareness Group, arrested for trespassing at a Vantage frack site. Three members of the Denton Drilling Awareness Group were arrested when they refused to move away from the entrance to a fracking site where work began on June 1 despite a fracking ban the citizens of Denton voted for seven months ago. Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed legislation, HB 40, that prohibits cities and towns in Texas from banning fracking
