Arlington West in Santa Monica California next to the pier is the site of a memorial to killed soldiers in Iraq. Every week the number of new dead is honored with symbolic coffins and a sign announcing the new number of solider killed. Veterans for Peace set up the memorial every Sunday and take it down at the end of the day.
