Sept. 2, 2016, The Ridge Road Community in Asumption Parish,following the 1000 year flood. The area was flooded by backflow waters. The standing water trapped took almost 30 days to drain. The local government made cuts in a road to give the water a way to escape from the area to help the water drain.
