New York City, NY, Sept 30th 2011, One of the thousands of protesters at a rally in One Police Plaza protesting against police brutality. The protesters set up an encampment in Zuccotti Park ( also known as Liberty Plaza) inspired by the Egyptian Tahrir Square uprising on Sept. 17th. After 80 people were arrested on Sept. 24th when the police clashed with the protesters near Union Square Park, video footage of the police manhandling the protesters spread via social networks fueling the movement's growth.
