April 9, 2015, Almost five years after the BP oil spill, A Tar matt uncoverred on East Grande Terre, a barrier island in Plaquemines Parish that was hit hard by the BP oil spill in 2010.BP recently led an effort to clean up a tar mat uncovered on the same area of the beach a couple weeks before that was connected to the BP oil spill.
