She lives less the 1/4 mile from a d fracking site, and a wastewater disposal site. Her home has been damaged be an earthquake swarm that started rattling the ground in November 2013 shortly aft re the disposal plant began operation.Her doctors told her all the toxins have made her ill.

Fitzsimons concerned with the amount of water the fracking industry uses ran and won a seat on the water-board so he could have a voice in protecting the areas water.

The Schreiber’s own over 400 acres and lease hundreds more from the BLM. They do not own their mineral rights so they are have to contend with the fracking industry on their land. They successfully took on industry and the BLM, persuading them to twin existing drill sites instead of drilling hundreds of new ones.

  • Arthur Dehilinger's stands near a drilling rig left behind at a frackstie on his land in Big Spring Texas. Dehilinger does not own his mineral rights on the 45 acres of land his home is on so he was unable to prevent fracksites in his backyard.  There are seven wells on the land that he has no control on , and more could be drilled at any time. During the drilling, the noise, vibrations , air pollution and bright lights made it impossible for him to enjoy his home .He  worries about the water from his well  running out since one of his neighbor uses a well near by to sell industry water from the same aquifer his well is tapped into.

Her health has been negatively impacted by the chemicals in the air emitted by the thirty fracking industry sites near by. She had to close her accounting business becuase she can no longer concentrate on work due to migraine headaches.

A crowd estimated  between 100,000- 200,000  came from across America  to the National Mall on October 30, 2010 before the midterm elections to participate in the "Rally to Restore Sanity And/Or Fear" . Jon Stewart insisted the rally was not a political event, however; the audience had messages of their own on hand made signs for the occasion, many with a political message.

The EPA determined his well was contaminated by Range Resource's hydraulic fracturing or fracking activities, though later retracted an emergency order previously issued. Steven Lipsky is in a legal battle against Range Resources in a hi-profile case against the fracking industry.

Speakers including John Barry, former board member of the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority spoke about industry in Louisiana and their role in restoring the coast. General Honore formed a 'Green Army 'to help citizens negatively effected by industry, change laws to protect the environmental in Louisiana.
