Texas Brine has started making buy out offers to residents who have been under a mandatory evacuation order for a year.

Over the coarse of the year the sinkhole has grown from 3 acres to 24 acres. The residents of Bayou Corne have been under a mandatory evacuation for a year becuase the area has gas pressure under the community.

  • April Lane. a homeowner in Greenbrier, Arkansas has earthquake damage on her home. The brick walls have cracked as well as the ceilings in the interior. She is a co-director of a documentary about fracking earthquakes in Arkansas she made with her sister in-law Emily Lane. She started an NGO “Arkansas Fracking”  to help people negatively impacted by the fracking industry.

DeTurck sold his house at over a $100k  loss to get away from living next to a frack site. He and his family experienced negative impacts to their health.   • Casey Camp-Horinek in Ponca City, Oklahoma across from a Conco Philips refinery.  Casey is a Native American, an elder in the Ponca tribe who has been fighting against industry for years. Landmen are leasing land where the Ponca live now for fracking. The area is plagued by earthquakes.

  • Len Uecker retired with his wife and settled down on the shore of Greer Ferry Lake in Quitman. Arkansas in the Fayetteville Shale region. When fracking started in the area hw started an NGO to save the lake. He has his own cesna that he lands on a grass strip near his home. <br />
He never thought he'd be more busy as a retired person then he was as a professional in communications, but he is. Now trying to save the natural setting around him.
