Mandeville, Louisiana, June 29, 2019- Cyanobacteria, refferred to as blue-green algae, in Lake Pontchartrain. The city closed the beached do to the algae outbreak which many blame on the openning of the spillway combined with the warm tempartures. Mandeville, is on the north shore of the lake, across from New Orleans.
