January 18, Baton Rouge , A letter 7 year old Caden who atteneded a pro-gun rally organized by "Guns across America" on "Gun Appreciation Day" had with him. His mother read a letter he wrote to the president asking for him to let his teacher and mother have guns during the rally. The rally was held after the massacre at a school in Sandy Hook, Connecticut , the debate over gun control in America became a key political issue.
