A blighted church in the lower 9th ward remains standing almost six year after Hurricane Katrina. As the six year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina nears blight remains in New Orleans. Many of the programs to remove blight and help the city recover are federally funded and will face cuts because of the economic decline.
