6/7/2010 ,One of many Horseshoe crabs washed up dead on the shore of Petit Bois Island along with oil tar balls. Mississippi Sierra club took a trip to two barrier islands in Mississippi, Horn Island and Petit Bois Island to check on the effects of the BP oil spill on the 49th day after the Deepwater horizon oil rig explosion. On both islands small tar balls were found along the beach.
