Arlington West, week ending September 21st.-12 dead

Arlington West is a memorial to the soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan that is set up and taken down every Sunday in Santa Monica next to the peer.
The week ending Sunday 21st. 2008, twelve US soldiers were killed in Iraq and 3 in Afghanistan. The memorial is set up by the Veterans' For Peace , and volunteers who join them in the task of setting up one cross for each solider killed. Red crosses are also used:they stand for ten dead have been added to the while ones to make the set up more manageable. It take dozens of volunteers over three hours to set up the memorial.
